About Royal Og

Royal Og combines OG Kush heritage with robust Royal Highness traits to produce dense, resin-coated buds and a pine-citrus aroma. It suits intermediate growers who can manage humidity, especially in moist coastal areas, and rewards canopy control with above-average yields. In a greenhouse or steady indoor environment the strain develops strong central colas and reliable potency around 18–24 per cent THC.

Grow Difficulty:

Growers in moist western coastal climate should plan for higher humidity control to avoid mould. Royal Og is intermediate in difficulty and rewards attention to airflow and pruning.

Flowering Time:

Flowering usually completes in eight to ten weeks under stable conditions. Outdoors it commonly finishes in late September to October in a mild season.

Yield:

Yield is medium to high when plants receive good light and canopy management. Expect roughly 350–500 g/m² indoors and respectable outdoor weights in well-sited gardens in Powys.

Height:

Plants reach a medium to tall stature with a sturdy central cola. Height is manageable with topping or training and responds well to support in late flower.

Environment:

In Powys you can run Royal Og indoors, in a dedicated room, or in a greenhouse to extend the season. Outdoor plants in Powys perform best when sheltered from prevailing coastal winds.

Climate:

In Powys the moist western coastal climate can push humidity up during flowering, so monitor for mould and botrytis. Use ventilation, dehumidification and site plants in the driest part of the greenhouse to reduce risk.

Common question Posted by Urbanseedbank Answered
Q
My greenhouse is humid; how do you keep Royal Og safe from mould?
A
Verified answer
I run continuous extraction with passive intake, use a small fan to keep air moving around colas and reduce humidity with a dehumidifier as needed.

Q
When did you start LST on Royal Og?
A
Verified answer
I began low-stress training in week two of veg and topped once, that gave a nice even canopy by week four and stronger lateral growth.

Q
What feeding schedule worked best for you?
A
Verified answer
A standard veg feed until flip, then cut back nitrogen and increase bloom PK from week three of flower; I watch run-off EC to avoid overfeeding.

Q
How do you dry and cure to keep the citrus notes bright?
A
Verified answer
Dry slowly at 18–20°C and 50–60% humidity for 7–10 days, then cure in sealed jars with daily burps for the first two weeks to preserve terpene complexity.

Q
Any signs of deficiencies to look for late in flower?
A
Verified answer
Purple stems or early yellowing can be normal, but watch for dark brown spots or rapid tissue collapse which indicate potassium or phosphorus issues to correct quickly.
