Smuckers

Smuckers adapts well to northern climate cannabis growing when cultivated indoors with humidity control or outdoors in a sheltered, drier microclimate.

Aim for 40–50% relative humidity during flowering with continuous air exchange; use oscillating fans to keep leaf surfaces dry and prevent mould.

Switch to a 12/12 light cycle after plants reach desired size; many growers begin training early so stretch is manageable during the first two to three weeks of flowering.

Provide a balanced bloom nutrient with reduced nitrogen and higher phosphorus and potassium, increasing feed slightly as buds fatten while monitoring runoff EC.

Keep good vertical spacing, prune inner foliage, control humidity, and harvest any suspect buds early to prevent spread of botrytis.

It is not unusually pest-prone but spider mites and thrips can appear; regular inspection and integrated pest management reduce outbreaks.

Harvest when trichomes are mostly cloudy with some amber for a balanced effect, checking multiple colas for consistency before cutting.

Dry slowly at 18–21°C and 50% humidity, then cure in jars with daily burping for the first two weeks to develop the citrus and berry flavours.

You can reuse soil after amending with fresh nutrients and compost, but sterile techniques and pest checks are important to avoid carryover issues.

High-quality LED or HPS fixtures with sufficient PAR output will increase yields; ensure even canopy coverage and manage heat to suit Smuckers' needs.
